We’ve unveiled a mouth-watering limited-edition Mother’s Day cake, Starry Night.
A feast for the eyes, this midnight-hued layer cake boasts an innovative flavour combination of fruit and floral, another masterpiece from our Black Star Pastry chefs. Blueberry-filled sweetness with a lavender aroma, a punch of pistachio crunch and a bite of creaminess courtesy of the delicate layer of cheesecake. The perfect cake to make Mother’s Day mum-umental this year.
Starting from the top, Starry Night, comprises layers of blueberry and lavender mousse and baked cheesecake, complimented with a blueberry and lavender compote (made from fresh blueberries and bucketloads of fresh lavender), ending with a pistachio dacquoise biscuit-like base.
That’s not all! The cake is garnished with a hand painted zigzag like detail, fresh violet flowers, blueberries, and blackberries and topped with blueberry and lavender flavoured stars.
The result is a sensory overload, showcasing the unique combination that floral and fruity flavours create, reminiscent of our OG cake, the Strawberry Watermelon.

Maximum travel time without a cooler bag is 1 hour.
Cake can be displayed for up to 1 hour, otherwise, keep the cake refrigerated.
Remove from the fridge just before serving.
Best cut with a sharp knife that is non-serrated.
Consume within 24 hours.
